Since 1996 with the felt need of the community people JSS has been implementing its various development activities in the greater Thakurgaon district with the effective participation of the community people “to establish a society free from exploitation, oppression and depravation where every individual will be able to live in a peace and harmony with genuine human relation”.
Working with the community people JSS gained experiences in the areas of Education -Awareness Building, Advocacy & Social mobilization, Group formation, Education, provide skill development training and Human development issues, Primary health care, Water & Sanitation, Income generation through micro-credit support, development of Agro based livelihood, Establish Women & Child rights, Development of Good Governance and on Disaster Mitigation.
Advocacy, communication and social mobilization (ACSM) is a continuous process of JSS for awakening people’s needs in favor of their basic necessity. It accelerates people’s participation in development process.
JSS has been ensuring intensive motivation to organize group members and community people on economic justice, eradication of illiteracy, health, and nutrition & family welfare. The program staff organizes regular group meeting, personal contact and door-to-door visit.
Through group discussion they have been providing advocacy, communication and social mobilization. As a result, group members and community people are realizing importance of family welfare for leading a peaceful life with amicable relationship.
